Spooky Doge is a non-custodial Dogecoin wallet available as a mobile app (iOS/Android), web application, and browser extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you maintain complete control over your data.
All wallet data, including encrypted seed phrases, private keys, and transaction history, is stored locally on your device only. On mobile devices, we use secure encrypted storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). For web, we use localStorage, and for the browser extension, we use chrome.storage.
The mobile app requests camera access solely for QR code scanning to make sending Dogecoin easier. The camera is only activated when you tap the scan button. We do NOT store, transmit, or process any images or video from your camera. No camera data ever leaves your device.
The wallet connects to public Dogecoin blockchain APIs solely to fetch your address balance, UTXO data, and broadcast signed transactions. These connections only transmit your public wallet addresses, never your private keys or seed phrases.
Your seed phrases and private keys are encrypted using AES encryption with a password you create. This encrypted data never leaves your device. Without your password, the encrypted data cannot be decrypted.
You have complete control over your wallet data. You can export your seed phrase or private key at any time for backup purposes. You can delete your wallet data by clearing your browser's extension storage, localStorage, or uninstalling the mobile app.
The mobile app offers optional biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) for convenient unlocking. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's secure hardware and is never accessed or stored by Spooky Doge.
When you connect to decentralized applications (dApps), you explicitly approve each connection and transaction. The wallet will always prompt you before sharing your address or signing transactions.
